This week, thousands of mathematics teachers, researchers, and education leaders are gathering in Denver for two of the country’s leading mathematics education conferences. We’re excited to be participating in both!
We’ll be exhibiting at the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) Annual Conference, a national gathering of mathematics education leaders focused on improving teaching and learning.
Visit us at Booth 519 to explore Tile Farm, hear how schools are incorporating Daily Digits into their daily math routines, and learn about opportunities to pilot Tile Farm at your school.
The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Annual Meeting is one of the largest mathematics education gatherings in North America, bringing together thousands of teachers and educators to share research, ideas, and classroom practices.
Tile Farm co-founders and educators Alex and Louis Romero will present:
When Students Create the Math: Joy, Curiosity, and Lessons From Learner-Generated Problems
What happens when students become creators of math problems rather than just solvers?
Drawing on our experiences as teachers, including lessons learned through Tile Farm, we’ll explore how student-generated problems can spark curiosity, deepen mathematical thinking, and give students greater ownership of their learning. Attendees will leave with practical strategies they can bring back to their own classrooms.
Saturday, October 31 | 9:30–10:30 AM
Colorado Convention Center | Rooms 702, 704 & 706
We look forward to connecting with fellow educators in Denver and sharing ideas for making mathematics more joyful, creative, and meaningful for students.
