As we reach the final week of the Spring 2026 Tile Farm Teacher Fellowship, we want to pause and reflect on the journey we’ve shared.
Over the past three months, teachers explored three different ways to build number sense in the classroom:
Math Talk
Asking creative questions through activities like How Many?
Fluency & Problem Solving
Building confidence through routines like Daily Digits
Project-Based Learning
Exploring mathematical ideas through creative activities like Number Portraits
Each approach supports mathematical thinking in a different way. Together, they create a classroom environment where students can explore ideas, express their thinking, and build confidence with numbers.
