Tile Farm will be presenting two professional learning experiences at the APS Rising conference on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
These sessions are opportunities to experience Tile Farm Academy firsthand, learn how it has supported students at an Albuquerque charter school, and explore whether it could be a good fit for your school during the 2026–27 school year.

Session 1: A 10-Minute Routine for Joyful, Deep Math Thinking

In this interactive session, participants will experience Tile Farm Academy as learners.
The session will introduce three connected parts of the routine:
- Daily Digits: short, game and puzzle based number-sense practice
- Number Portraits: number sense meets creative mathematical expression
- Tile Talk: student-centered mathematical discussion and sense-making
Together, these activities create a low-floor, high-ceiling environment where all students can participate, think deeply, and build confidence in mathematics.
Participants in this session will explore classroom-ready examples and practical structures that can be used immediately without adding unnecessary complexity to the school day.

Session 2: Math in Every Language—Building Understanding Through Visual Thinking

Learn how Christine Duncan Heritage Academy, a charter school in Albuquerque, NM used Tile Farm Academy to strengthen student engagement, visual thinking, mathematical communication, and confidence.
Using a simple and consistent daily routine, students began participating more fully, taking mathematical risks, and communicating their ideas with greater confidence.
During the poster session, participants can:

- Hear stories and see examples from the classroom
- Try a Tile Farm Academy demo
- Ask questions about using the routine in their own school
